About: Al Piranian is an ATP certificated pilot with more than 11,000 hours of pilot experience. He is a flight instructor who is certificated to instruct airplane single-engine land, airplane multiengine land, and instrument airplane. Al completed his education in aerospace engineering earning a BSE and MSE. He was with the U.S. Navy for a total of 48 years, serving as an aeronautical engineering duty officer (retired as a Commander) and as a Civil Service aerospace engineer. In the latter position he worked in the areas of aerodynamics and flight dynamics, working on design, development, test & evaluation, and airworthiness certification of fighter, attack, and trainer aircraft. The aircraft he worked on included the F-14, F/A-18, T-45, A-12 and F-35.
